Our Client is a new company but a deeply experienced team. Over the last twenty years, the team have been delivering renewable energy at increasing scale across the globe. They have established the company to efficiently deliver large scale electricity generation, storage and conversion projects that reduce our dependency on fossil fuels.  

They are currently developing offshore wind, solar, battery and hydrogen projects in Ireland, the UK, Norway and are looking at other jurisdictions. They need to increase the size of their team to deliver this pipeline of projects and explore new opportunities. Role overview

The role reports to the Head of Irish Offshore and will be focused on offshore wind projects in Ireland with opportunities to work on the rest of the company’s portfolio. The primary responsibility is the management of the scope, schedule, finance, risk and quality of offshore wind projects as they progress through development to execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for project management of development activities on Company offshore wind projects.
  • Management of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure projects are developed responsibly, ensuring they can be consented and installed safely at the lowest LCOE.
  • Implement, maintain, and update procedures and processes appropriate to the role, ensuring projects are well scoped, scheduled, costed, and reported.
  • Working closely with the Offshore Stakeholder Manager, help to develop local, national, internal and external stakeholder networks to enable successful project delivery.
  • Active, enthusiastic involvement in all other elements of project development including, but not limited to, commercial, HSEQ, finance and engineering.
  • Positive contribution to the growth and culture of the company.

Candidate requirements:

  • An appropriate education with 5-8 years in relevant roles.
  • Experience in similar roles in renewables or other large infrastructure projects would be ideal but other applicable experiences may be just as valuable.
  • PMP, PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience of working with regulators, stakeholders and the planning process.
  • An understanding of the key policy drivers, economic levers, and related legislation facilitating the development of these projects.
  • Excellent team player with a track record of relationship building at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Good organisational skills with strong ability to multitask.
