General Manager - Merchant Services

Our Client is a leading building providers in Ireland. They are now looking to recruit a GM in Blackrock to join their growing team in Dublin.  

 

Our Client is a leading building provider, supplying quality building materials to builders, tradesmen, self-builders and Home D.I.Y enthusiasts in the Dublin area. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the branch and offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who feels they can hit the ground running due to their understanding of building products and has at least five year’s customer-facing sales/management experience.

Ideally your sales experience will have been gained within a Builders Merchants but this is not an essential requirement as a full training programme will be available.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • The management of all branch staff and customer service
  • Overall management of all sales and operational matters within the store
  • Improve Branch Performance across a number of Key measures (KPI’s)
  • Ensure Effective and Efficient Management of People and Procedures
  • Create a workplace culture of continued improvement and excellence through coaching and leading by example where Team-Work is centric.
  • Setting excellent Standards of Customer Service, Processes and Procedures and ensuring staff are reaching those excellent levels daily
  • Create and encourage an environment whereby the Team provide a Friendly, Open and Enthusiastic Customer Service to our Customers
  • Maintain a strong standard on the premises at all times in terms of Cleanliness, Merchandising and Stock Holdings
  • Support the Operational and Sales Staff with their daily functions
  • Decision Making at branch level
  • Branch Administration

 

Experience

  • Previous Management/Supervisory experience essential
  • Strong Knowledge of the Construction Industry
  • Competent in Computer Software incl MS Word and Excel
