The business is in a period of significant growth and is working with capital partners to deliver and operate projects in Ireland, the US, UK, and Australia.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our Finance team in Dublin. Reporting to the US Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for carrying out a range of duties to ensure the effective financial management of the US portfolio.
Main duties include:
- Preparation of month end processes and reconciliations.
- Preparation of management and statutory accounts for operating projects in the US portfolio on a periodic basis
- Interpretation and implementation of accounting policies under IFRS
- Development of budgets and providing insight to the business
- Supporting US Finance Manager in co-ordination and management of the audit process and other finance/budget activities
- Completion of regulatory returns and compliance with obligations under various agreements as they fall due
- Business partner with colleagues in other business units including assets management and commercial teams
- Work alongside other members of the Finance Team in continuous development of business processes and controls to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency
ABOUT THE PERSON:
Key competencies & experience
- Qualified financial accountant with a minimum of 3-4 years’ relevant experience in practice which includes the preparation and/or audit of statutory financial statements under IFRS. US GAAP exposure advantageous but not essential for the role
- Newly qualified or with up to 2 years post qualification experience.
- Self-starter with an ambitious attitude and a desire to understand and add value within the Finance team
- Excellent MS office skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to work as a team player
- Strong work ethic and ability to work on own initiative
