Our client is a Renewable Energy provider pioneering the development and operation of Solar projects.

Our Client is an international renewable energy power producer headquartered in Dublin. Specialising in utility-scale solar PV projects, the company’s business model covers all aspects of project delivery including development, construction management and long-term asset management. The business is in a period of significant growth and is working with capital partners to deliver and operate projects in Ireland, the US, UK, and Australia. 

 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our Finance team in Dublin. Reporting to the US Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for carrying out a range of duties to ensure the effective financial management of the US portfolio.

Main duties include:

  • Preparation of month end processes and reconciliations.
  • Preparation of management and statutory accounts for operating projects in the US portfolio on a periodic basis
  • Interpretation and implementation of accounting policies under IFRS
  • Development of budgets and providing insight to the business
  • Supporting US Finance Manager in co-ordination and management of the audit process and other finance/budget activities
  • Completion of regulatory returns and compliance with obligations under various agreements as they fall due
  • Business partner with colleagues in other business units including assets management and commercial teams
  • Work alongside other members of the Finance Team in continuous development of business processes and controls to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency

 

ABOUT THE PERSON:

Key competencies & experience

  • Qualified financial accountant with a minimum of 3-4 years’ relevant experience in practice which includes the preparation and/or audit of statutory financial statements under IFRS. US GAAP exposure advantageous but not essential for the role
  • Newly qualified or with up to 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Self-starter with an ambitious attitude and a desire to understand and add value within the Finance team
  • Excellent MS office skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to work as a team player
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work on own initiative
